When using automotive heavy-duty jumper cables, to avoid the risk of short circuits or sparks, you need to pay attention to the following points:
Always make sure to read relevant safety instructions and warnings carefully before operation. As with any work on your vehicle's battery and electrical system, there is a risk of fire, chemical burns, and electrical shock, so safety always comes first.
Wear protective goggles during operation to prevent possible eye damage from splashes or sparks. Also, avoid tilting the battery as this may cause electrolyte leakage or other safety issues.
When connecting jumper cables, you must follow the correct sequence, i.e. connect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal. Never connect the negative cable to fuel system components or brake lines to prevent potential short circuits or sparks. In addition, the non-insulated parts of the clamps must not touch each other to avoid the risk of short circuits. The jumper cable connected to the positive terminal of the car battery must also not come into contact with metal parts of the car, again to prevent short circuits.

Make sure the parking brakes of both vehicles are on and the transmission gear is in neutral or park to prevent the vehicles from moving during operation. At the same time, start the support vehicle and raise the idle speed to the appropriate speed to steadily help start the broken down car.
Before connecting the starting cable, the starting switch and all electrical accessories must be turned off to ensure that the circuit is in a safe state. Special attention should be paid to not using a power supply that exceeds the specified voltage for jump starting, because excessive voltage may damage the electrical components of the car.
Finally, the connecting cables must not be disconnected while the faulty car is starting, otherwise the electrical components on the support car may be damaged by the high voltage. After starting up, the cables should be disconnected in reverse order, i.e. negative terminal first, then positive terminal.
